2011-2012 BCRC Election
On July 3rd 2011, at the regular meeting hall at SeaTac (Lutheran Community Services) around at 9:30 am, newly elected 24 out of 27 BCRC board members were gathered. This gathering was not like other usual gathering, were proposals are passed, discussion takes place, and plans and strategy are implemented. This was the gathering for the election of four positions to be fulfilled in BCRC: for the year of 2011-2012.
Seven individual Bhutanese Volunteered to make the election fear, uninterrupted, and effective as an election committee. Guideline and rules were set up by this election committee. Four Ballets box were set up to vote for each position, and four special ballets paper were provided to each of the 24 board members to vote for their candidates. Voting was done separately for the position of Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Secretary, and Treasurer.
Finally, ballets were counted, and individual with the maximum number of vote in specific ballet box was declared for the respective position. The position for the Chairperson was hold once again by Tanka Dhital with the vote of 22 out of 24. This is his second year in the position of Chairperson for BCRC.
In the same way Yug Dadai, former Vice-Chairperson was able to hold the position of Vice-Chairperson this year too. While two new faces were introduced for the remaining two position. Dhanapati Neopaney was able to hold the position of secretary for the year of 2011-2012. The position of treasurer of BCRC for 2011-2012 goes to Birendra Kharka.

The election remains fair, simple, and peaceful. All decision made by the election committee were the final decision. No dispute, argument, and misunderstanding occurred during and after the election. Election committee was dissolved as soon as the election committee finished its task, and the remaining program was handed over to the newly elected chairperson Mr. Tanka Dhital.
